Diamond Jewellery Industry

According to Austrade, Australian jewellery exports were worth approximately $750 million in 2005-2006.

Diamonds accounted for 92 percent of the market share. Most of Australian jewellery is destined for Hong Kong.

The jewellery industry is represented by the JAA, an association which advocates standards of quality and integrity.
