Investing in Diamonds

Diamonds are often considered as an investment product. Given their small size and that market information is readily available, the gems have performed many functions in trade and investment agreements.

The diamond trade is subject to the principles of supply and demand. That ratio is different for diamonds of different sizes, shapes, colors, origin,... and therefore it requires reasonable perspective to comprehend the pricing or valuation systems used in both wholesale and retail practice.

As a general rule, those diamonds heavier than 2.00Ct and of good clarity are considered investment grade stones.
