Excellence.
Many round brilliants diamonds have different proportions to what is considered Ideal in the trade. To achieve such appreciable proportions much more time must be spent on polishing and as a result more weight is lost from the rough stone. A loss of more than 60 percent would not be unusual when creating an exquisite gem. In consideration of rough diamond value, cutters commonly make variations.
To be given the ClaesDiamond signature name a diamond must hold characteristics within very specific parameters.
Some are listed below.
Colour grade must be between D and F
Carat weight must be in excess of 0.50ct.
Clarity grade must be higher or equal to VS1
Proportions and Finish (Polish & Symmetry) must be excellent.
A signature diamond is selected without compromise, consequently it may take longer to source.
The Tolkowsky design pictured below is a highly appreciated set of dimensions.
